The brewer
Breeze and Stream is a distillery that opened in 2023 in Inje, Gangwon, where the air of Seoraksan and the water of the Naerincheon stream flow. Instead of the rice commonly used for distilled soju, it released its first soju made from roasted barley and buckwheat, and it brings out the grain aromas with a copper pot still and jar aging. In its founding year, Burnt Buckwheat 40 won a gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
