Omyrose Premier Wine
A 12% fruit wine made from Mungyeong omija.

About this drink
Omyrose Premier Wine is the world's first omija wine, made from organic, eco-friendly omija grown in the deep valleys of the Baekdudaegan mountain range in Mungyeong and fermented and aged using authentic European winemaking techniques. It takes more than three years from harvesting and fermenting the omija to bottling, and its harmony of moderate acidity and sweetness gives it excellent overall balance. Tens of millions of endlessly rising bubbles blend well with omija's five flavors.

The brewer
Ominara is a winery and distillery at the entrance to Mungyeong Saejae in North Gyeongsang, on the site of an old inn (jumak). CEO Lee Jong-gi, a former whisky master blender, makes wine from omija (five-flavor berries), a Mungyeong specialty, then distills that wine again into Goundal (고운달), a 52% ABV brandy. Omija is a demanding fruit — its first fermentation alone takes more than a year — and the winery works with it through 18 months of aging in the bottle, a hand-hammered bangjja copper still, and maturation in oak barrels and white-porcelain (baekja) jars.
